How to use this tool

  • This tool aims to provide information on how to recognise and respond to suicide risk among others.

  • Recognising the signs and helping those at risk reach a professional may save a life.

  • Follow the next steps in order to learn what to do.

    • This tool is also autism friendly – meaning specific information is included to be aware of if the person you are concerned for is on the autism spectrum or neurodiverse. Suicide is more common for persons on the autism spectrum than neurotypical persons. Follow the rainbow autism awareness symbol bullet points to learn more.

  • This tool also flags specific information for other vulnerable groups and provides extra support information for them – see the last section on where to go for more help.
